MCMA created this event to bring people to Michigan City’s downtown, highlight Michigan City’s three local breweries (Shoreline Brewery, Burn ‘Em Brewing, and Zorn Brew Works) and to raise funds for MCMA’s other initiatives that help Michigan City’s Uptown Arts District. When you buy a ticket to this event, you help Michigan City businesses and people who enjoy the Uptown Arts District.

From The Doors to Pearl Jam (yes, they actually cover Garden), they bring a setlist that keeps the crowd guessing and the beer flowing. Joe Baughman + The Righteous Few
Folk-rock with a flair for the sacred, the profane, and everything in between
Blending indie-folk, funk, gospel, and a dash of existential musings, Joe Baughman + The Righteous Few craft a sound as unpredictable as the Midwest weather. Fronted by singer-songwriter and filmmaker Joe Baughman, this South Bend-based collective brings a rotating cast of talented musician-friends to the stage, creating a dynamic, heartfelt, and sometimes delightfully offbeat live experience.
Joe started as a one-man show in 2011, layering banjo, bass, and brass like a DIY symphony (with his brother Mike handling percussion). By 2016, he adopted the Roscoe Baggins persona and formed The Flying DeSelms, leaning into a grittier rock sound. The need to bring that energy to the stage led to the formation of The Righteous Few, an ensemble that’s been delivering lush, evocative folk-rock ever since.
Expect songs drenched in religious imagery, personal reflections, and Middle American melancholy—tied together with rich instrumentation and raw storytelling. Whether you’re here for the harmonicas or the saxophone solos, JB+RF promises a show that’s equal parts intimate and electrifying.
Genre: Indie Folk-Rock
