Is there parking nearby?

Yes! However, there is limited parking on-site at Charles R. Westcott Park. Other parking options include a four-minute walk to Michigan City’s City Hall (100 E Michigan Blvd.) or a 12 minute walk to Blue Chip Casino (777 Blue Chip Dr.) which has ample parking.

 

Can I purchase a ticket the day of the event with a debit/credit card?

Yes!

 

Will food and drink vendors accept debit/credit cards?

Yes! Vendors will accept your debit/credit card. Drink tickets for wine or beer will be available for purchase. However, keep cash on hand if you’d like to purchase band merchandise as we can not guarantee that bands will accept debit/credit cards.

 

Is there water available at the festival?

Yes! There is a water fountain on-site and vendors will also be selling bottles of water for your consumption.

 

Can I bring my dog?

Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed inside Charles R. Westcott Park so your furry pal will have to miss out on this one. This excludes certified service animals.

 

Is this an all ages event?

Yes! All ages are welcome to attend! Children 12 & under are free, but must be

accompanied by an adult.

 

 

What type of food and liquor should I except?

A variety of bite-sized foods will be available from Smokey G’s – including vegetarian and vegan options. Craft beer and wine will also be available for purchase.

 

What is permitted and prohibited?

Please note that bags and purses will be searched before entering the festival grounds.

 

Permitted:

– Clear reusable plastic bottles (32 oz or less)

– Fanny packs, purses, & bags

– Outdoor folding chairs and blankets

– Strollers

 

Prohibited:

– Weapons

– Glass containers, cans and coolers

– Outside alcoholic beverages

– Hazardous materials, chemicals and fireworks

– Airhorns

 

Festival management reserves the right to handle each occurrence on a case by case basis. Lockers and other on-site storage are not available. All bags, jackets and guests are subject to search upon entering the event.

 

Is there an opportunity to volunteer?

YES! Volunteers are vital to making our festival run smoothly.

 

We need volunteers for the following:

 

– Admission Ticket Takers

– Admission Ticket Sales

– Drink Ticket Sales

– ID Checkers

– Parking Directors

– Parking Directors

– Bag Checker

– Event Floater (General Assistance to Michigan City Mainstreet Association Directors)

 

Volunteer shifts are at the following times:

 

Shift #1= 12:30-4:00

Shift #2= 4:00-7:30

Shift #3=7:30-11:00

Can I leave and return to the event?

Yes. Just make sure that you keep the bracelet you received when entering the festival on when you leave the grounds.

 

Where can I buy tickets?

Tickets can be purchased the day of the event at the festival gates for $15. Pre-sale tickets are available online for $10 (plus a small service fee) at swalemusic.com.

 

Refunds?

All ticket sales are final.

 

Will the event take place rain or shine?

Yes.
